The online shop and back office of a materials-characterization lab: customers order characterization of their samples and buy lab equipment in one place. As sole developer I built both order flows as two separate lifecycles, and a checkout that holds stock for the buyer instead of selling it before payment. Live at labotopia.id.

The registration, payment and peer-review platform for ISFM 2026, an international academic conference. As sole developer I built both halves: payment by Midtrans or bank transfer, in rupiah or dollars, and a multi-round review workflow for authors, reviewers and editors. It's live and served 191 participants from 12 countries.

The public research site of ITB's Advanced Functional Materials Laboratory, in English and Indonesian, with a custom CMS so the lab publishes its own publications, people and news. As sole developer I built it from the database design up, around one typed wrapper used by every server action. Rebuilding the image pipeline took the main page's load (LCP) from 3.5 s to 1.2 s.

Hello! I'm Gema Refantero 👋

I own products from the first commit to launch.

I've done that as the sole developer on four products, three of them live today, including a conference system that handled registration, peer review and international payments for 191 participants across 12 countries. At OMNI, where I've worked for almost four years, I also led mobile development for two and a half years: planning, estimating, and reviewing the team's code. My background is Engineering Physics (M.Eng., ITB), which is where I learned to enjoy hard quantitative problems. Based in Indonesia (UTC+7) and available for remote roles and freelance projects.
